French native Thierry Le Coz starts playing music professionally in the Paris area circa 1979 with his school mates THE TEENKATS later morphed into CASANOVA. 1981 sees a record deal (Big Beat Records) followed by many major media & live appearances all over Europe.
Eager to realize "the american dream" Thierry moves to Austin,Texas in 1984. Within a few months he adapts himself perfectly to the texas music scene. He co-founds WILL & THE KILL with legendary austin bassman ALEX NAPIER & a very young WILL SEXTON.
Performs & tours the U.S. with 50's pioneers like JOHNNY CARROLL & GENE SUMMERS. also THE LEROI BROTHERS, ALEJANDRO ESCOVEDO, CHARLIE SEXTON, RICH MINUS, CALVIN RUSSELL...
Back in austin he releases his first solo effort "HOME" in 1997. Thierry's journey is the framework of novel "TEXAS BLUES" written by top french rock star DICK RIVERS.
1999 sees the release of "FROM TEENKATS TO CASANOVA" (big beat 00053). 2002 an incredible live cd & dvd "TEX-FRENCH CONNECTION" (big beat 00080) be on the lookout for some le coz sightings somewhere in the world near you...
